About The Artist - Yatin Kandpal

Expressing one’s feelings through paintings comes naturally to me highlighting my art style; “Self-expression”. My work style is depicted in all my art pieces be it landscapes, portraits, Murals, sculptures and caricatures, where they really appear to speak for themselves, as if expressing the plethora of feelings to the viewers, as stated by Prof. Anne Feenstra, A Laureate Architecture 2012(Paris), curator of my recent solo exhibition in Bhimtal. Very Recently my art style has been presented with Kala Bhushan Award (Gold Medal) for outstanding creations and excellent contribution in the field of art at Indian Art Fair, Mumbai.

My formative education began in Birla Vidya Mandir Mandir, Nainital and continuing in the field of fine arts after my Graduation from Kumaun University, I was awarded a gold medal in post- graduation for Animation and Graphic designing at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Initially I, worked in the field of Graphic designing and Animation for many International and National brands in the entertainment industry and education sector like Prime focus and NCERT respectively and many more.

However, the diverse shades of culture and serenity of landscape in Uttarakhand fascinated me to become a full-time free-lance professional artist at my native place which is aslo expressed in my current work for the viewers through my lens in different mediums.

Each canvas becomes a meditation on color, form, and emotional resonance. Through my art, I invite viewers to experience moments of quiet contemplation in our increasingly fast-paced world.
